Editorial policy
Genuine City Briefing aims to make urban wayfinding and public information easier to understand. We write with care, distinguish observation from interpretation and make corrections when a material error is identified.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual claims against suitable sources and take care with descriptions of maps, signs and design terms. Articles should make clear when they discuss a general principle rather than a specific city or route. We avoid presenting an impression as a verified fact, and revise wording when it could mislead readers.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader's understanding of the subject. A partnership or commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions, and we do not promise favourable coverage in exchange for support or placement.
Corrections
If you spot an error, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We review correction requests, amend material when warranted, and make significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they are identified as such. Illustrations are not evidence of a real location, sign or city feature unless expressly stated and verified.
